On the 13th March 2017, I was part of the audience for an event organised by Hakera Dato Onn Residential College, named Just Dance. The event brags its catch line, which is simply 'Dance Out Your Style'. It was held from 7p.m. to 11p.m. at Dataran Panggung Seni, National University Of Malaysia.
The dance competition boasts a wide range of contestants and audience. Among the participants were students from Lim Kok Wing University, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Perak Dance Academy besides Ungku Omar Residential College participants.
It was a very exciting event as participants dance to various genre of song from R&B and pop to hip-hop. Many participants even rode the Korean K-Pop waves as they danced to famous K-Pop songs like Boombayah by BlackPink and Daddy by Psy.
The competition ended with students from Lim Kok Wing University crowned as champion of the dance competition. Nevertheless, it was a very successful event organised by Hakera Dato Onn Residential College and I look forward to more dance events like this in the future!
