Joyce Wong (A157989): Lion-Parkson Foundation Scholars Program 2017

Over a span of four days, I was involved in a scholars program under the Lion-Parkson Foundation organised by CeDR Consulting Sdn. Bhd.. The program was held at the company itself which is located at Klang, Selangor.

A little bit of introduction, I am a scholar of batch 2016 under the Lion-Parkson Foundation Scholars Program. I mindlessly applied for the scholarship last year and was pleasantly surprised when I managed to pass all four elimination rounds consisting of interviews with various senior employers in the company.

Fastforward to the program, we were introduced deeper into the structure of the company besides being exposed to many activities to instill economic, entrepreneur skills and scientific skills in ourselves. Throughout the 4 days of the program, different speakers were invited each day for a different purpose.

However, the most interesting activity out of the four days was the first day where we had a site visit to Edutainment World, a learning site for children. It definitely did unleash the little kid in me as I saw figures of Puss and Boots and many other fairytales. There were many learning sites in the centre, like gymnasium, cooking class, driving class and playground. It sure was regretful that I was too big physically to enjoy the classes for kids, but I sure am young at heart!
