An Extended Family in the University

On Thursday, my coursemates aka my college mates decided to head out of the university for dinner together. Although we have known each other for almost a year now, this is the first time all five of us went out for a meal together.

We went to Sushi Mentai in Kajang. Over dinner, we shared many stories and talked to each other a lot but only one thing I knew for sure, this just made our bonding stronger than before.

Since this is the first time we went out together, I am looking forward to more gatherings like this in the future. I would also like to toast to our never-ending friendship!

Macroeconomic Event 2017

On the 26th of April 2017, the Faculty of Economic and Management (FEP) held an event which is the Macroeconomic Event, a branched out event of the Innovation Week 2017.

Over 200 students were separated into groups of 25 and participated in four different games, which are the pop quiz, jigsaw puzzle, writing test and debate. I participated in the writing test.

After the games ended which was before noon, we had our lunch and were told to gather again at Lecture Hall 1 for the closing ceremony of the Macroeconomic Event.

During the closing ceremony, groups who were tied at the games compete against each other again and winners were presented with hampers and cash money. My group, which was Group 3 won the best war cry and scored an amazing second placing overall!

It was a very satisfying day and a wonderful event.

Karnival Gempak Varia-C

Over a span on three days, Ungku Omar Residential College held an event called 'Karnival Gempak Varia-C' in Panggung Seni, UKM.

Every day, there are different activities scheduled to attract participants from various colleges in the university and also out of the university.

Among the activities held was the UKM Global Sharing Session which was organised by UKM global students ambassadors. The students shared their experiences as global student ambassadors besides trying to attract more students to be the ambassadors.

On these 3 days, the event also attracted participants by inviting local artistes to perform at night besides having food trucks around the area. Hence, partcipants were there in Panggung Seni partly because of the food too!

The event ended on Sunday and all in all, it was a very successful event organised by the Ungku Omar Residential College.

OTUKM'17

On the 22nd April 2017, under the Chinese Community Council (CCC), a branched out event which is Orchestra Traditional UKM (OTUKM17). The event was held in Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak at 7pm.

The event officially started at 8pm, but audiences were allowed in early to find their seats and to take pictures with the props.

Outside the main hall, the event crew creatively decorated the area with items that match the theme of the event which is 'The Musical Voyage'.

The male and female ushers of the event were dressed accordingly too. They dressed up as captains of a ship.

The event started with orchestraic themes of various soundtracks and our ears were mesmerized by such harmonious and beautiful sound. The event ended before midnight and we left with a lighter and happy heart; it was like a healing session for all of us.

Dinner at Tony Roma's

It was my brother's 15th birthday on the 15th April, so my family decided to celebrate his birthday in Tony Roma's, Citta Mall.

I ordered a Shrimp Scampi Pasta with a ribeye. It was just too delicious!

As it was my brother's birthday, the Tony Roma's crew celebrated his birthday with a on-house dessert and a free dessert on our next visit. They even prepared props for the photo session; it was very creative.

It was a delicious dinner and a great family bonding time for me.

22nd Convocation for CLP!

On the 13th April 2017, it was a very delightful and proud day for me as it was my sister's convocation day. She sat for the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) paper and passed it on her first try.

On that day, I travelled to and fro from UKM to Putrajaya just to attend the ceremony, despite having my midterms examination that same weekend; I think this already says how much I am so proud of her.

As the ceremony ended, we took a lot of pictures and presented my sister with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate her results

The Baby Boss and a Afternoon Hangout

After watching Beauty and the Beast, I was on the hype for movie marathon. Hence, the next day, my friends and I headed over to Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya to watch the latest animation movie - The Boss Baby!

The movie had great moral values and enjoyable for audiences of all ages; I really enjoyed the movie. As it was the weekday, the cinema was pretty empty!

After the movie, we had lunch in Sakae Sushi and shopped around in Paradigm Mall before heading home.

I'm already looking forward to the next movie I will be watching in the cinema!

Watching the "banned" movie!

On the 4th of April, it was a movie day for my friend and I as we were long excited to watch the initially-banned movie, Beauty and the Beast.

We watched the movie in NU Sentral, Kuala Lumpur. Although it was a weekday afternoon, there were equally many people there to enjoy the movie as well.

After the movie, we went for dinner in a Korean restaurant, DubuYo. I had seafood ramen while my fried had honey butter rice besides kimchi sushi. Both were delicious. It was pricey, but the great food made up for it.

For dessert, we had a drink in TeaLive, which was originally known as ChaTime. It was very refreshing after all those heavy and spicy food which we had for dinner. After chit-chatting for an hour or maybe more, we then parted ways and headed home. It was good all in all!
